Fairfield announces annual tree lighting ceremony on December 3, 2021
Fairfield, California (Friday, November 19, 2021) – The City of Fairfield announces the return of its annual holiday tree lighting ceremony, located in Downtown Fairfield. The event will begin at 5:30 pm and take place on Texas Street, between the blocks of Union Avenue and Jackson Street, where the Christmas tree will stand. Mayor Harry Price will light the tree at 6 pm.
Festivities following the lighting ceremony include special performances by local choir groups and Folklorico dancers. Frozen sisters Elsa and Anna will attend, as well as Santa for photos with children. Legendary Letters will be there to help kids receive their letters from Santa Claus.
Residents are welcome to stroll the downtown area to listen to carolers, appreciate the downtown business window displays, and visit merchants’ open houses.
