STRATEGY AND COMMUNICATION PLANS
Vision: To be the Voice for business in the Fairfield and Suisun City region.
Mission: To assist the Chamber in being a strong and strategic advocate for its members, while strengthening the economic vitality of area businesses and enhancing the quality of life in the community.
GOALS AND STRATEGIES:
In addition to the mission and goals set forth by the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce, the Advocacy Council will enhance and more tightly focus its efforts to achieve specific strategic goals over the next two years. These include:
SERVE AS THE VOICE FOR BUSINESS:
The Chamber advocates for business success and regional economic growth by promoting policy and funding decisions on behalf of its members to local, state and federal government officials.
- Promoting its positions on key local, state, and federal issues impacting businesses;
- Recruiting business-friendly candidates for elected officials;
- Working collaboratively with government leaders to provide positive outcomes for its members

September 2019 - Alert Solano is Solano County’s Regional Emergency Notification System, and if you live, work, or travel frequently within the county, it is an essential tool to have. It enables agencies within the county to provide you on any device with critical information in a variety of situations, including severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons, evacuations and natural disasters. » Full article
August 2019 - California State Senator, Bill Dodd, D-Solano, was the speaker Aug. 13 at a morning advocacy meeting hosted by the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce at NorthBay Healthcare. More than 50 people, most from Solano County cities and chambers, attended to hear Dodd’s remarks on the important issues before state legislatures. » Full article
July 2019 - Solano County’s behavioral health department, with its team of clinicians, doctors, nurses, and mental health specialists, has several programs in place related to their ongoing efforts to reach the homeless, as well as other individuals struggling with mental health. » Full article
June 2019 - Over the last four years, the Pacific Gas & Electric Company’s Energy Watch program, administered locally through the Solano Economic Development Corporation, has helped over 500 area businesses to see $2.6 million in energy savings and $1.8 million in rebates. » Full article
May 2019 - Senate Bill 50, the More HOMES Act of 2019 currently in the state’s appropriations committee, was front and center at the May 14 meeting of the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber’s Advocacy Council. » Full article
