FAIRFIELD, Calif. — As the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce enters a new fiscal year, the organization is embracing a new era of growth with the appointment of a new Board Chair and the addition of a new Membership & Marketing Director.

Leading the Chamber’s Board of Directors for the coming year is Terrance Strong, Director of Transportation at MV Transportation who will work alongside Chamber leadership to strengthen the organization’s impact and strengthen local businesses. Strong has been actively involved with the Chamber for many years, previously serving on its Board of Directors. As Board Chair, he looks forward to helping guide the Chamber through another year of growth and opportunity for local businesses.

Joining the Chamber staff is Connor Smithee, who has been named the Chamber’s new Membership & Marketing Director. In this role, Smithee will lead membership development, marketing, communications, and business engagement initiatives designed to deliver greater value to Chamber members and increase the visibility of the local business community.

Smithee brings several years of chamber experience, including three years with the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, one of the nation’s premier chambers and a finalist for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Chamber of the Year Award. Most recently, he served as Marketing & Public Relations Director for IL Fiorello Olive Oil Company, where he led strategic marketing and public relations efforts.

“This is an exciting time for the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber,” said Strong. “We have a strong foundation, an engaged membership, and tremendous opportunities ahead.”

Smithee said he looks forward to building on the Chamber’s momentum.

“I’m excited to join an organization that plays such an important role in supporting our local business community,” Smithee said. “My goal is to help our members maximize the value of their Chamber membership through stronger marketing, meaningful connections, and programs that help businesses grow.”

Together, the Chamber’s volunteer leadership and professional staff will focus on expanding membership, increasing business advocacy, enhancing networking and educational opportunities, and elevating the Fairfield-Suisun business community throughout the region.
