    • GameStop Manager is in Top 1% of all GameStop stores in U.S.
    • Only 2 California Managers Honored (38 Toral in U.S.)
Monica Czellecz, presently the Manager of the Arden Square GameStop store on Arden and Morse, has been awarded the GameStop “President’s Award” for her previous management of the GameStop store in West Sacramento. This honor went to only 38 managers from across the country (only 2 of which were from California) making the group the top 1% of the GameStop’s 3,800+ stores.
GameStop President/CEO, George Sherman, who was appointed in March and formerly with Victra, Best Buy, Home Depot and Target, traveled with 4 of his Vice Presidents to host an all expense paid 4-day event (Apr 24-27, the Annual President’s Club Retreat) for the 38 honorees at the Westin Hotel on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. There, Monica and the others attended a dinner honoring their achievements and, of course, they were provided a chance to enjoy the beautiful island and all it has to offer. They also received gift bags, a cash award and as the top leaders of the company, had an opportunity to learn the latest news and information about the corporation.
Monica has worked for GameStop since 2014 and has consistently progressed and grown the store’s success. She was proud to say that she has won an award every year at conference and is happy to add this huge honor to the collection. Monica also says, “I couldn’t have done this without the support and talent of my former Assistant Manager, Isaac Marez, (now the Manager of the Fairfield Solano Mall GameStop). I hired and trained him as a seasonal worker in 2015. He had a strong work ethic and was quick to learn as he moved up to Senior Guest Advisor and then to Assistant Store Leader. We made a great team and got great sales results...and the Fairfield GameStop store is lucky to have Isaac as their Store Manager now.” As a reward for all his hard work, Monica shared the paid trip for two to the Hilton Head Island award ceremony and dinner with Isaac.
