$31,000 in College Scholarships Awarded to Fairfield Graduates
Winners attend Fairfield and Armijo high schools

FAIRFIELD, Calif.:  Solano Community Foundation awarded seven 2019 college scholarships to students at Fairfield and Armijo high schools.
Six students from Fairfield High School received Fairfield High School Staff Scholarships totaling $30,000.  Two of the six, Samuel De Haro Carlos, and Chawnyce Nolen each received a four-year scholarship.  Payments are disbursed at $2,500 each year.
Four Fairfield high students each received a $2,500 one-year scholarship; they are Cassandra Reyes, Zeenat Kumar, Vanessa Sanchez, and Kayla Allen.
These six scholarships are made possible from the Fairfield High School Staff Scholarship Endowment Fund established in 2000 as a component fund of the Foundation.
At Armijo High School, Isabella Roxas earned the Andrew Lucas Memorial Scholarship.  This is a one-time award of $1,000.  The scholarship fund, a component fund of SCF, was established in 2015 in Andrew’s memory by his family.
All of these scholarships are awarded annually, and awards are based on GPA, financial need, and recommendations from community leaders.
SCF extends congratulations to these seven students and our best wishes for continued success.
