Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee 2020 City Council Endorsements
Fairfield, CA (August 29, 2020) -- The Fairfield Suisun Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) has endorsed incumbent Rick Vaccaro and candidate Doriss Panduro for Fairfield City Council and incumbent Anthony Adams and candidate Alma Hernandez for Suisun City Council.
“Rick Vaccaro is a proven leader who brings people together and knows the pulse of this community,” Chamber President Debi Tavey said. “He will not only be a great representative for new District 4, but the entire city.”
The Chamber also endorsed Doriss Panduro who is running for council the second time. “We think Doriss’s service to the community and her knowledge of how government works will serve the residents of new District 5 well,” Chairwoman Andrea Garcia said. “The new districts are a challenge. We need leadership that will work together, and we think Rick and Doriss can do that.”
The Chamber endorsement of Adams in Suisun was based on his knowledge of transportation and development while Hernandez brings the fresh voice of someone who is clearly engaged with the citizens of Suisun. “Suisun has real budget challenges to overcome while looking for new and different sources of revenue. It will not be an easy task, but we think Adams and Hernandez are up to it,” Tavey said.
“We represent the diverse interests of our business community and we are excited to support these candidates. We thank everyone who’s running to serve their communities,” Garcia said and added, “The Chamber is also grateful for PAC Chair and business leader, Anthony Russo, who provided guidance and leadership during this endorsement process.”
“The endorsement process is a hallmark of our Chamber and it’s a critical aspect of their mission to advocate for the economic prosperity of the Fairfield Suisun area,” Russo said. “Despite the challenges of new districts, we selected candidates whose policies align with the Chamber’s mission and who are dedicated to the economic future of Fairfield and Suisun.”
The Chamber did not make an endorsement in Fairfield City Council District 2.
