LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE
This presentation will cover some of the most important recent legal developments for the management of human resources. Georgelle Cuevas, esq., PHR, of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, will address key topics of concern for human resources professionals and managers. This seminar will look at new laws and provide practical information with an eye toward limiting liability.
SPEAKER
Georgelle Cuevas, esq., PHR, is an associate in the Pleasanton office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Ms. Cuevas is experienced in counseling and representing public and private sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination/harassment, wrongful termination, disability, reasonable accommodation, wage and hour requirements, leave requirements, discipline and dismissal. She has significant experience conducting thorough and effective investigations concerning workplace issues.
In addition to being a licensed attorney, Ms. Cuevas is also a Certified Professional in Human Resources. Ms. Cuevas gained experience in employment law, retirement, education and civil rights at previous firms.
